Prison Health in Europe

Over 20 years ago the WHO identified a need to to respond to the disproportionate rates of ill health and social disadvantage faced by prisoners in the growing prison population. Since 1995, the population has continued to increase exponentially and this paper presents an examination of whether the health needs of those most vulnerable have been met.
